The Fiddle Music of James Hill by the Northumbrian Pipers Society
The Fiddle Music of James Hill is a wonderful collection of Northumbrian tunes arranged for keyed Northumbrian Pipes.
James Hill, c.1810-1853, was the foremost fiddler and composer on Tyneside during his lifetime. Many of his tunes have withstood the test of time and are regarded as classics of the traditional fiddlers’ repertoire.
Some less well known tunes are highlighted along with the more popular ones by a fine collection of fiddlers and other traditional musicians from the North East of England and Scotland.
